there's voices there to dare me,
my father's here to scare me.
my mother sits beyond the door she's
curled up crying on the floor,
look at what her son's done.
when the weight of all the world's gone wrong.
it's gone wrong again.
gone fucking wrong.
it's gone wrong again

.general information.
Name: Bartemius Crouch Junior
Nickname(s): Roy, Crouch; never Barty
Age: Eighteen.
Gender: Male.
Birthday: 23rd November
Blood Status: Pure-blood, naturally.
Family:
Bartemius Crouch – his father whose name he obviously shares. The older Bartemius Crouch, who is 45, is a man who is rather famous for his devotion to get justice, working at the Ministry. He fights evil with everything he’s got, seemingly fearlessly. He puts all of his effort into maintaining his reputation and would never let anything stain it. Also, he spends most of his time at work and is there nights, days and evenings. Bartemius the younger feels a strong dislike for his father, which I believe has been rather obvious for the last half of this application.
Angeline Crouch – Bartemius’ mother, who is 37, has always had a bit of a frail health after she was bit by some snake with magical abilities in Africa, where she was once sent on a business trip from the Daily Prophet. She often goes for control visits to St. Mungo’s and the healers have recommended that she should avoid most heavy physical work and make sure she doesn’t get cold. After quitting to work she has stayed home with her son and the two of them are very close. With the assistance of the Crouch house-elf Winky, she takes care of the house… or rather, she gives the orders and the house-elf executes them.
.appearance.
General: Whilst many boys of his age don’t put much effort into looking good, or at least not to look representative; they’d probably go for a more careless style. Bartemius isn’t of that type, nor does he obsess over his appearance. Yet, he makes sure to look clean and neat with his hair not its end and his clothes new, straight and clean.
His straw-coloured hair is very rarely seen greasy, his fringe falling over his forehead, swept to the side, tips reaching as far as past his eyebrows. His eyebrows aren’t huge, but not girlishly small and clean, either, and they’re a bit darker than his hair, making them more noticeable. The hair makes him easier to spot in the crowd, indeed, as everyone doesn’t have straw-coloured hair like he has naturally, though in some lights it can look browner and more blonde in another light.
Bartemius face is good-looking, admittedly. His skin is slightly more tanned after the summer, but he usually doesn’t have much of a tan, not thinking he has to waste more time than necessary in the sun. Another reason is that he gets freckles in the summer if he shows his pretty face to the sun too much, and he strongly dislikes freckles. He always makes sure to shave, and it’s a clean shave he has without even a hint of stubble. His cheekbones are high enough, and his face is rather oval. His arms are perhaps a bit short and his legs aren’t the longest, but nothing on him looks too unnatural. He thinks hygiene is important and though he doesn’t have any powerful fragrances, he doesn’t smell bad either.
Bartemius Crouch the younger has a confident look over him and he keeps his back straight – oh believe me, it seems the world will end before Bartemius starts slouching. Not the tallest of boys, he still ignites some respect into you. At a first glance he might seem normal. On the second glance, you’ll probably think he seems rather proud. Finally, on the third glance, you’ll either find him a bit eerie or then you’ll think he’s a nice-looking person and go over and talk to him.
Eye Color: He has deep, brown eyes that are easy to stare into. They give you a false sense of security if you only give him a quick glance. Though the brown colour is a rather warm hue, you can easily imagine them going icily cold knowing the person they belong to.
Hair Color: Unlike his father, he has a straw-coloured hair. Well, admittedly his rather has a bit grey hair, so it’s rather obvious Bartemius Junior doesn’t share his father’s current colour.
Hair Style: Bartemius’ hair isn’t exactly long and not short either. A fringe falls over his forehead with near elegance, covering it to the point of his eyebrows. Though he’d like a hair that obeys, Bartemius has been given the more stubborn freestyle kind with a tendency to natural curls making it impossible to get it to stay like he intended in the morning, briefly passing the mirror.
His hair is cut shorter on the back and the sides and longer at the front and the top of his head. There’s usually something a bit messy about it.
Height: Nearly five feet and 8 inches.
Weight: 140 lbs
Build: Bartemius is not that tall, though quite slender. He puts effort into staying slim though not far enough to get athletic; he just moves around a lot, not much for lying in the sofa, doing nothing, anyway. He does one sport and that’s Quidditch, one of the important things in his life. Therefore, he does have some muscles, but not enough to qualify as muscular at all. He doesn’t look like the type to fly at you with fists raised, no; you’d more of expect him to jinx you if he gets angry.
Usually when you see him, he stands with a straight back and looks civilized, not to say a bit arrogant or proud.
Clothing: Regarding the subject of clothing: at school, he’ll of course have his Slytherin uniform: the emerald and silver tie, white shirt, grey waistcoat, black trousers, shoes and black robes. On his free time, you’ll still see him in clean clothes with style, his style with a well-cared look. You can always be sure, that if you invite Bartemius Crouch somewhere, he’ll know how to dress suitably for the occasion. He especially likes his knitted, dark grey and white Falmouth Falcons scarf.
.background.
Hometown: Suburb to London, England.
Personality: Bartemius Crouch Junior holds the pure wizard blood filling up his veins very high, which is a Slytherin quality through and through. Though he wasn’t raised that way, he despises Muggles and the fact that proud pure-blood wizards marry them and have children with them, creating half-blood. Well, he can accept half-bloods, but Muggleborns are something he frowns upon; how can Muggles suddenly get wizard children? Yet, though he despises them he won’t go around shouting ‘MUDBLOOD! MUDBLOOD!’ after them; he’ll let his friends do that for him. If he meets a clever and talented Mudblood; sure, he would consider befriending them – at least respect their talent.
This brings us straight to another side of his personality. He has very high expectation from himself. The final string of affection to his father broke when he was fifteen and he had to face the facts; he was talented, but not in everything and not as talented as his father. Bartemius struggles to do against his father’s will, which the man doesn’t seem to notice as he is at work most of the time. Winky, the house-elf of the Crouches’, is always treated badly by the older Bartemius Crouch has always been very dear to Bartemius Crouch the younger, and he is friendly and respectful when he addresses her with a bidding.
He puts his energy into those subjects interesting him, sitting and talking thrash and anything with the one next to him during the other classes. His respect for teachers has never been that big, but he hasn’t openly questioned them unlike now, when he can loudly make a remark about something on the lesson.
An important thing for Bartemius is his friends; a nice group of Slytherins. He gets along with anyone he wants to get along with, and right now he is very interested in others who have found the Dark Lord Voldemort’s Death Eaters interesting. To his friends, he is a person who knows most of the secrets, and he keeps them, sharing none of his problems with them under the impression they wouldn’t understand. But yes, he would keep your secrets. If someone leaves the group to hang with others, he can in his mind quickly view them as traitors and dislike them, though he rarely makes any emotion view other than a bit of pride and anger at times.
If he doesn’t know you, he won’t, unlike other Slytherins, be mean or rude. He will most likely behave politely, maybe a bit arrogant or proud, but he wouldn’t snort and walk away with his chin high. As mentioned, he doesn’t despise Muggle-borns straight off because of their parents, or he does, but always respects an intelligent and talented person, no matter what blood they have. It’s a bit out of jealousy too, maybe, as he’d like to be the most talented.
Bartemius - who for the record dislikes the nickname ‘Barty’ and goes by ‘Crouch’ or ‘Roy’, the later being a weird and short composition of somebody’s, using both his surname and first name in some unexplainable way – does have a temper though his anger management is well developed, and he can stand there shaking from anger at you inside, but looking perfectly emotionless and polite. Once he does lose it completely, he’ll have his wand out immediately to curse you rather than jump at you with sleeves folded up and fists raised and he does know quite a few good curses.
Crouch might seem like a slippery fish, he seems to have too many sides. The fact is that he has two: the first, which is the appropriate, talented, ambitious and polite young man; the second being the proud, tempered, rebellious young man whose deepest desire is to join some group with others like him.
History: Bartemius has grown up in a pure-blood family where the father is always at work and the mother is ill and fragile. This has given him a rather good picture of reality and he has never been daydreaming or imagining himself shining above everything else. Instead, he has tried his best all along and he has been disappointed many times, especially by his father whom he dislikes strongly.
All since he was small he’s liked flying. Maybe not possessing an amazing talent, he’s still a rather decent at flying and he’d sure like to play in a real Quidditch team one day, though he doesn’t find it realistic. When he was nine, his father did something unexpected by taking a holiday with his family and letting Bartemius choose a Quidditch game to go and see. Bartemius chose a match between the Chudley Cannons and Falmouth Falcons. Right before the match, his father had to go back to work, and even though Mrs. Crouch had a loud argument with Bartemius the older, he still went to work and disappointed his son gravely.
His mother, though, despite her frail health, took the house-elf with her and took Bartemius the younger to see the match. The game really excited you Barty, who cheered all he could. Of course, the Chudley Cannons lost, because they always do, and the Flymouth Falcons played a rough game, because they always do, and they won. The fact that his mother had taken him to the game really mattered to Bartemius and as a memory from the game, he got the Falmouth Falcons scarf.
His Falmouth Falcon scarf is a knitted, eight feet long scarf coloured dark grey and white in broad stripes, both ends dark grey. On one of the ends the logo of the Falmouth Falcons is knitted in white; a falcon head. He has been wearing it every winter ever since, and most of his jackets and winter robes match it, either being grey, black or white.
As he came into his teens and his dislike for his father started to take shape and evolved, the scarf got another use. He started to take it to parties and other things he attended with his father as a sublime reminder of the important game his father wasn’t at. It still remains one of his most dear possessions that he wears both in protest and to accentuate he likes the Falmouth Falcons.
Bartemius attended Hogwarts at the age of eleven and was immediately very eager to learn new spells. He showed talent, but nothing really amazing. Yet, he was just a bit behind the top in every class, studying hard all the time. He was lucky to have friends who accepted that, and he had the energy to continue studying. By the time of his OWL’s, school started to matter less to him. He got more friends and a shy interest for girls.
Yet, his OWLs were excellent; mostly A’s and E’s except for his two O’s in Defence Against the Dark Arts and Arithmancy. It meant he could carry on with his favourite subjects, Defence Against the Dark Arts, Arithmancy and Transfiguration and also Potions and Charms, which he chose to continue having achieved E in both of them as well as in Transfiguration.

Author's Note: Okay, this application was originally written for an advanced site with a much more complicated template, so it's written in a different way. It might be a bit confusing if I've missed out to edit some parts; I mainly copied and pasted and then edited a bit.
But here it is, voilà. It's a bit long here and there, but I was too lazy to edit after working on it for days. xD
