Entering the Great Hall finally Remus looked around a sigh escaping his small framed body as he rushed after James to their normal seating area at red and gold decorated table. Beside it was the same length table, but the decorations were blue and bronze. The other two tables were both decorated in their house colors as well; yellow and black for Hufflepuff and in the far end of the hall green and silver for Slytherin. In the front of the hall the staff table was already filled with the many professors that taught at Hogwarts School of Witch Craft and Wizardry. Don't be silly and think that the 3 Gryffindors {assuming that Sirius was chasing after them from Sighrus last post} were the only students in the hall at the time.
The whole hall had been filled with chattering students that were reuniting with friends they couldn't find on the train. James came to abrupt stop as he finally reachedtheir spot only to find some 2nd years sitting there. His face had gone red with anger at the younger students, and his glasses looked liked they were even fogging up from the heat radiating off his face. How dare these little second years even think that they could sit here! The Marauders have sat in these seats since their first year at Hogwarts, and bloody hell did he plan to lose these seats now.
"Oi!" He growled folding his arms across his chest and something that could closely be compared to a snarl sounded from his throat. The 4 little Gryffindors looked up confused and their eyes sparkled at the sight of James. He was James Potter, him and his mates being wildly know through out the school. "And what do you think you're doing in our seat?" Of course he sounded rude and pissed. He's already had a long day dealing with bloody Slytherin on the train and almost being killed by his father's lack of death perception while driving.
"W-what?" One of them stuttered confused. Remus had finally reached the table put a hand on James back. He was terrorizing 2nd years already?
"James you could easily ask them to move," he sighed glaring at his best mate out of the corner of his eyes. The yellow cornea's becoming a bit hazy from the lighting of the room and the stress upon them since Remus refused to blink at this moment.

Sirius had, of course, rushed after his friends. He was still a bit mad that they'd deemed him a puppy, however. Upon reaching them at the Gryffindor table he realized that James was very angry. At a group of second years. That were sitting at... Oh. That was the Marauder's spot. The place they'd sat since first year. That's why James was mad. He rolled his gray eyes and threw a hand around both James' and Remus' shoulders.
"'Ello mates, too bad ass to ask the second years to move over?" he said simply.

ooc ;; Nice introduction, Zeros.
And if something like that would've happened at the Slytherin table, there would probably have been a ton of hexing and curses and jinxes flooding into the air of the Great Hall. The younger ones knew their place in the heirarchy of the house of Salazar Slytherin. And most of them knew better than to test their theory of what exactly might happen if they dared sit in an upper classman's seat.
Bellatrix had not spoken to any one - save for Rabastan Lestrange of course - as she had entered the enormous school of witchcraft and wizardry. She had walked sullenly and quietly to the Slytherin table, casting her darkened, curious eyes around the Great Hall, staring at the many other students that had flooded the dining area, her attention drawn to several in particular, a group that stood out more noticably to her being James Potter and Remus Lupin standing near the Gryffindor table. She felt a small shiver of disgust run down her spine. Oh, how she loathed those Marauders entirely. If she could've had it her way - and it wouldn't've been against the law - she would attempt to dispose of the four good friends. But, not having a desire at the moment to spend her remaining years in Azkaban Prison, she had to resist the temptation.
She moved past the Ravenclaw table, the blue and bronze tableclothes and other decorations glimmering almost as brightly as Rowena's prodigies did, although it could not dare to compete with how loud the colors at the Slytherin table were, the livid and vile greens and blacks and silvers standing out proudly, and maybe even somewhat obnoxiously, like a beacon would shine in the dead of a storm on the sea.
Bellatrix sat down near the middle of the table, about a quarter of the upper half left empty for the first years that would be lucky enough to be placed into the wicked house, not glancing to see who was beside her and not particularly caring as long as the place on her other side remained empty.
And for who else would she be saving it for?

There was no particular silence as he entered the Great Hall, and he didn’t really crave one either. He did a normal entrance without anything fancy, fixing brown eyes on the Slytherin table, heading for it in a calm pace as he let his eyes carelessly pass over the crowd. His stance being about five feet and eight inches he wasn’t the tallest, nor the shortest, but he sure took everything out of it, walking with his back straight, his chin held high enough so he looked represent able; yet he was not to give an impression of an arrogance – a task he slightly failed without giving much attention to that.
Straw-coloured hair was neatly combed upon his head: a fringe fell to the side, reaching his eyebrow and the rest was just as normal as it could be with a hint of messiness. His good-looking face was wiped of most emotions and he was clearly making sure he looked like a pureblood like he should. After all, the pride was in the blood. All of his school uniform was as neat and free of creases as attire could be the emerald and silver tie underlining where he belonged; the Slytherin table, precisely where he was heading.
There was the picture Bartemius Crouch the younger wanted to give you. The decent, proud, talented and reliable young man. However, beneath the surface, sharing the limited space in his brain, was another Bartemius Crouch. That Bartemius wasn’t the same talented and in his opinion boring person as the other Bartemius, no. This other Bartemius was different. He was as proud of his blood as the other, but he was different. Loyal and reliable, yes, but maybe not decent. At all. Frustration, anger, temper, desire, joy and whatnot; at least that other Bartemius had emotions, and not that plain, pretending face his father had taught him to keep up. Eurgh. That Bartemius hated his father.
Lately, Bartemius Crouch (both of them) felt more comfortable and familiar with the other, the explicit Bartemius – a fact he would show the world one day. Bartemius Crouch would perhaps one day be a rebellious psychopath in the rows of the Death Eaters of Lord Voldemore… oh yes, the more he thought about it, the more certain he became that the day would really come.
A slight smirk slid onto the pale lips of the eighteen-year-old male as he confident strode towards the Slytherin table, his back as straight as ever. Someone pushed him, or perhaps walked into him as he was about to sit. Brown eyes turned to see the profile of a male with dark around his chocolate eyes and messy, black hair which would make Bartemius’ father faint. ”Lestrange!” Bartemius growled after the male who raised two fingers to his forehead, then letting his hand fall in a lazy salute. Ever-amazed by the lack of respect that male hosted, Bartemius rolled his eyes, glancing out over the Gryffindor table only to notice the so called Marauders before he took a seat amongst other seventh years he knew, looking up briefly as a fifth year female sat down a bit from him. Indifferent about it, he glanced around the Hall again, smirking thinly again.
[ ---* ]
The fifth year let his hand fall from his forehead and he turned to face where he was going again. There was nothing unclear to him where he was going now, chocolate eyes focusing on dark ringlets and waves of dark hair. Soft, pale lips curved into a small smirk as he headed for Bellatrix Black. Aggressively he had pushed past a bunch of second years and the next bunch understood to move as he passed, which had caused his attention to slip from where he was going and ended him up walking into Crouch’s shoulder.
Now he didn’t have much left before he could stop by Bellatrix. There was a seat empty beside her, too. Of course, it could be for some friend of hers, but frankly, if you asked Lestrange, that friend could move its ass out of his way, His robes still hadn’t caught a stain of anything, which was a miracle if you took a look at the number of fights he had nearly started only by crossing the Entrance Hall. It was a talent of Rabastan Lestrange, and he was even more talented at winning the fight and having his way.
His pace slowed down and he came to a halt straight behind Bellatrix, placing his hands in front of her dark eyes, bending down to the level of her shoulder, his lips close to her ear as he spoke. ”Do you know how dangerous it is for women to sit alone at dinners like this one?” purred Rabastan, maybe playfully and teasingly pretending to threat her. “Anyway, you know it’s me,” he said, taking his hands off her eyes and standing up straight with a grin, which only faded as he snapped something along the lines of ‘what if you’d stare at your mum’s ass instead?’ to a third year that kept staring at Bellatrix and therefore him.
“Like that,” he continued indifferently, turning back to the Bellatrix, brushing some invisible dust of the shoulder of his black robes, which hung open from his shoulders, revealing the rest of his school attire. The cute grin was back as he looked at her, at her pretty face, and spoke again. “This seat taken? I mean, I could always go sit with the seventh years if my brother isn’t there or I could take the place of some second year, but this really saves me a lot of trouble. Better company here too, damnit.”
[ ---* ]
Colleen let out a sigh, glancing over as Bartemius Crouch sat down two seat from her, but at the opposite side of the table. The giggling club beside her made a few giggles, indeed, and some even pondered about daring to take the empty seat beside Crouch or the one opposite to him. ”Just ‘cause he’s a seventh year, it don’t make him awesome,” she snapped to the left where the fifth year Slytherin female gang sat. ”But look at him, Savage! He’s cute! Oh look there’s Rosier!” ”There’s Potter and Black!” ”Oh my god!”
Dark emerald eyes rolled for a moment as the blonde female re-crossed her legs, putting the left thigh upon the right this time. Colleen wasn’t much for watching boys like that. She didn’t like the female gangs, no. She was more of the type who went up to the guy and flirted instead of sitting and whispering about them in a gang. It wasn’t going to help you just talking about them, now would it?
She straightened a few creases in her skirt absently, throwing the closest person to her at the right a dirty glance. A half-blood, ugly, just not her type. What worse, it was a female, sitting two seats from her, the two seats being empty. Another sigh escaped her red lips as she place her elbow on the empty surface in front of her, resting her chin in her hand, absently enjoying the touch of her soft and pale skin against her fingertips.
Colleen Savage was bored to the limit, sitting at the Slytherin table now passing her time watching Black, Potter and Lupin, thinking up anything she could to get her sweet revenge. She was glad Lupin hadn’t jinxed her… but thinking about it, the filthy half-blood had. And if they even dared to go around blabbering about it. Colleen knew what some Slytherins did to those that were a disgrace for the whole house. Stroking blonde sleeks behind her ear, she kept watching Lupin, imagining him hanging upside down, bleeding to death. It amused her for now.

A rush of panting and lack of attention saw Peter enter the room, failing in his attempt to catch up with his friends after lagging behind to talk to the Charms teacher about his falling grades last year (it was true to say that Charms wasn't his thing. At all.) His messy, thin hair hung down into his eyes slightly, but by no means blocking the amazing site that was the full hall. Peter felt at home again, a feeling he hadn't felt since he left home earlier in the day.
Now where was he meant to go? Shuffling toward the Gryffindor table he glanced through the many arms of people leaning across the it, in an attempt to seek out his fellow Marauders but with little success.
He wiped a little sweat off his forehead; it hadn't been a long run, but he wasn't the most athletic of people. He took to the side of the table and meandered along, avoiding the odd person who thought it might be funny to stick their legs out and apologising to people in who's way he was.

ooc || Nice introductions, everybody. Very nice.
Normally when she heard the name Lestrange she would hastily turn around to either a.) see if Rodolphus was around and was going to ask her out again, something that normally resulted in her hurriedly getting out of the room and towards her dormitory or into the nearest bathroom [[ not that she despised Rodolphus or anything - His hopeful ways of wooing her just struck her as a bit... odd, to be polite about it ]] or b.) searching the premises for Rabastan. But she had not heard Bartemius Crouch, and therefore didn't turn around.
Her eyes followed the Slytherin seventh-year, dark orbs watching Crouch as he sat down a couple of seats away from her and then looked away, Bellatrix eventually doing the same. She turned to glance over her shoulder to try and spot Rabastan - they had been separated a bit on the chaotic way into the crowded Great Hall - and was suprised when two hands came to cover her eyes, a familiar voice purring teasingly in her ear, and a cute, playful grin coming over her face as she realized just who it was. And was thankful that it had been just the person in which she wanted to see. As he removed his hands from her face she spun around in her seat to see him, smiling as she looked up at him, her gaze only dragging away from his chocolate eyes as he muttered something to a third year nearby, Bellatrix not catching every word but getting the jist. She shook her head, laughing a bit as she returned her stare to Rabastan Lestrange. "Because I need protecting by you from a pathetic little weasel like that," she scoffed playfully as she looked back at the third year and then back to Rabastan before she patted the seat beside her, turning back around to face the table. Personally she didn't care if he was around to 'protect' her from shrimps like the younger kid; as long as he was there, she wouldn't have a problem with it.
"Of course you can," she said almost at once, looking at Rabastan with another one of her swift, cute grins. It was intended for you anyways. Who the hell else would I want to sit beside?
* * * *
The cerulean blue eyes stared around the Great Hall through the spectacles as the young Ravenclaw girl clambered through the crowd, pushing several of the older students out of her way, but being careful not to come across any that might cause conflicts. It wasn't that she was trying to be rude or anything - She was just in a hurry to get to her table.
She pushed her light brown hair behind her ears as she made her way to where the rest of her House was congregating, tripping once or twice - cause that was just the way she was: clumsy and oblivious to her surroundings - before she finally made it, thankfully not injured and unharmed, to an empty seat.
Little Angela Chalks looked around the Great Hall, not seeing many people that she recognized right off the bat, but keeping her hopes up that someone that she could talk to would come along.
If not, she could always settle for the first years that she had sat with on the train.

Remus looked back and forth from Sirius to James before sighing a dropping his head. "More like he's too big of an ass to ask nicely," he commented his fingers finding the edge of the pockets on the black school robes. The dangled from the nearly invisible pockets freely, and finally he glanced back up at his two best mates. Sure he was starving at the moment but he was also dead tired. A debate had already formed in his head whether to stay here and eat or go up and get some sleep.
"Ouch Moony your words burn me," James mocked him purposely falling to his knees and his hands had moved in a clinging motion over his heart. "Stabbed me in the heart Moons!" Remus only sighed again, though the 2nd years in their seats had finally scattered away at James sudden dramatic reaction. "Works every time," he grinned pushing his glasses back up his nose and stood to his feet and took a seat and patted the one next to him for Sirius. The two seats across the table still remained empty of course they were to belong to Remus and Peter.
"You're such a git..."
"How many times have you called me that today Rem?"
"I don't know. I lost count after 37."
Leaving James with that Remus headed down the table obviously he wasn't one to jump over the table to claim his seat. No, he'd take the more calm and normal way by simple walking around. Looking back he had apparently left James laughing and leaning on the table waiting impatiently for the first years an Dumbledore's speech. Reaching the end he glanced up at the enormous oak doors; half-heartedly he turned his back to them choosing food over sleep. He continued his journey, but not with out noticing a certain friend of his.
"Oh, Peter! There you are!" He cried out happily at the sight of the short and slightly pudgy male. He quickly made his way to the male and smiled at him. He had moved swiftly towards his best mate; though he hadn't ran. No. Running was something that Remus never did if it could be avoided. Don't get him wrong though, he could run and fast too. It had simply been that the male preferred to walk especially in the castle.

Peter stopped looking about the table when he heard the familiar voice say his name. Instead he looked toward the owner of the voice and made his way over, nearly tripping over someone's unwary leg in his rush. "Uh, Sorry!" He said quickly before sliding past with grace comparable to that of a ballet-dancing hippo, much to the annoyance and perhaps further disruption of the table. "Whoops."
"Moony!" He said in quite a high voice, despite his voice breaking several years before, reminiscent of an excited rodent. He stumbled to join his friends at their table where, much to his delight, a seat had been reserved for him. "Prongs!" He called as he took up the seat. "What did I miss?" Peter asked excitedly, looking about the table and at his friends.

Rabastan raised a brow teasingly, a dark brow which vanished beneath sleeks of black, at least partially. Chocolate eyes noted her grin and as he sat down with nearly no grace, just a plain cool bad ass attitude (in his opinion), his thoughts travelled to that grin. Well, the girl surely could look pretty grinning that way. Just a swift grin. It was so short it usually left him wanting to see it again.
Without caring for too many manners, he put an arm on the empty surafce in front of him, brushing his fringe to the side with his other hand, leaning back just a slightest and turning to Bellatrix. "So," he started, stretching his very lightly muscular torso just a slightest before going back to sit with a slightly bent back and that bored 'fuck off' expression he usually had on his face when he so wanted to play tough. Play? No, he was tough. Chocolate eyes swept over Bellatrix, then attempting to catch hers as he finished the sentence.
"Any problems with anyone?" he asked, a small smile appearing on his face as he kept his gaze at her. "I could always go and punch Lucius if it makes you happy. I'd like to see him trying to get me expelled. My family has the right connections after all, so the Malfoys would be screwed."
On the other hand... well, Malfoy (I wrote Malfork at first xDD) was a bit of a friend of Rabastan's, though the two of them were like night an day. Giving it an honest thought with what should be under all of that black hair - a brain, hopefully - Rabastan decided he wouldn't punch Lucius, but it sure felt good saying it to Bellatrix, so another smile lit up his face there.

Restless shadows danced upon the walls, forming great demonic shapes that whirled and writhed upon the walls and the floors. No one noticed the great war of the shadows, though. No one saw as the demons thrust their heads back and laughed, as their claws flailed and as they all fell to rise again. Candles hovered above the students heads, the flames dancing in rhythm with the shadows, everything around all connected flawlessly. So flawlessly in fact, that no one payed attention to this elegant and dramatically woven tapestry that formed the background of life. If one should turn and look upwards, one would see the beautiful river of stars gleaming down upon the earth. Each an event that happened so long ago, just looking at them was staring back into the past. It was strange that something that had happened so long before could only effect us now. Still, no one in the hall pondered these thoughts, no one thought in this beautifully poetic way. Instead, everyone was deep in conversation about the events in life that mattered now, some looking nervously around, others laughing and having a great time.
He slides through the crowds with ease, his badge proclaiming his status more than enough to make the insolent brats get out of his way. That, and perhaps, the horrendous scowl that his face wore. The scowl didn't last long, by the time he got to the Slytherin table, he remembered himself and allowed the scowl to turn into a smaller, almost unnatural smile. He stands by the empty end of the table with the other Slytherin prefect, their eyes meeting for a moment, nodding in recognition, and then silence befell both of them. Both of course trying their best to look as welcoming as possible - All just a show for the lucky few who got selected to become part of the house. He watches as the crowds try to settle, like a hoard of insects - crawling, touching, feeling. Clambering over each other and even tripping some unlucky children up. They seemed to show no respect for each other, never mind their superiors. He watches them with contempt, sorting them out into blood traitors, Mudbloods, Half-bloods and Pure-bloods. Though it was a smile he presented himself with, in his head, it was anger that remained dominate. The little game he played of arranging the students was nothing but a distraction - A distraction from his rage towards the Black family. This time including Narcissa, though much more of the rage was directed at her sister and cousin. This year was bound to be a very, very interesting one.

Sirius glared at James as he patted the seat next to him. Did his best friend not realize he wanted to sit next to Remus? He was in love with the werewolf, after all. His gray eyes flickered back to their fellow Marauder as he walked off, never leaving him until it was determined that Remus was safe with "Wormy!" he called, gesturing to the seat next to James as he jumped over the table to embrace their friend. "You made it!" He didn't bother waiting for a response before bounding over to Remus.
He absently grabbed both Remus' wrist and pulled him to the spot across from James, taking care to yank on the werewolf's arm in order to get him to sit as well.

Peter was relatively used to his friends hyperactivity and table-jumping habits. This was why, against what any sane person might expect, he wasn't taken aback by Sirius' very quick greeting and instead just smiled at the boy. "Wish they'd hurry up and do the sorting, I'm starving!" He said to anyone who was around who wanted to listen. He'd also discovered this to be a more effective method of getting across what he wanted to say than directing the words at a solitary person. More people were likely to listen this way. He leaned his elbow on the table, and his head on his arm and contented himself with watching Sirius bound about until someone would reply, if they so wanted.

Remus was taken by surprise when Peter had rushed over to the other Marauders with out warning. Though, the action only made him smile. It was nice knowing he was finally here with them. Blissfully he followed after the pudgy male until he came to an abrupt stop at Sirius jumping over the table and grabbing his wrist.
"What the bloody hell are you-" he began, but was soon forced into a seat.
"What I'm not good enough for you mate?" James asked sarcastically still leaning forward on the wooden table. Only his chin was currently resting on one of his hands while the other hand was pushing his glasses back up his nose. They seemed to be falling down a lot today. Strange how the smallest thing like pushing up your glasses could be the most annoying thing in the world to you. Or maybe someone else.
This someone else happened to be Remus Lupin. Though Remus had noticed he pulled his wrist away from Sirius finally, and pulled his wand out of his pocket. Pointing it at James and muttered a spell, but nothing happened. Blinking a few times the male had clearly forgotten about not being able to perform magic for the next 24 hours. Holding his wand still he placed it back into his pocket and leaned forward onto the table.

Narcissa Black, pride and joy of her parents, strolled delicatly into the Great Hall. A silvery sheet of thick hair triled down her black robes, cascading around her pale, pointed features. Her pouty lips were squeezed into a single line as she looked around at all of the non-pure bloods around her. The corners of her scarlett lips curled gently as she thought to pity the poor souls who weren't as lucky as her to be pure blood. But then, as if a second thought, she laughed. Laughed at those creatures who weren't worth her thoughts. (Gosh she is mean today.) Narcissa had lost Lucius in the crowd and she was perfectly okay with that. Mr. Grumpy Pants could find her later when he wanted; Narcissa wasn't going to bother trying to find him. The blonde sashayed towards the Slytherin table and plopped down in a seat that had been empty and was in the middle of some 6th and 7th year students. Mostly boys. Narcissa smiled in acknowledgement. Lucius had been flipping out at her in the carriage about her sister. He was clealry jealous of the attention that had been directed towards her darling, oh wait no... she wasn't darling anymore, her younger sister. Why not make him jealous of the rest of her company?

Bellatrix Black had been paying little to no attention whatsoever of her surroundings, her eyes focused on one person and one person only, her gaze not wandering around the Great Hall as it normally would have if it had been the previous couple of years, and her mind not being distracted by any single student save for the one that was sitting directly beside her. She was hanging on to each and every one of Rabastan Lestrange's words, engrossed in his handsome chocolate eyes as she lingered on to what he said. She laughed after a moment, smiling widely at the Slytherin. Yes, it would be spectacular to see Rabastan punching the snot out of Lucius Malfoy. But she didn't want to provoke her sister's future husband - At least not this evening. "Nah, not tonight," she commented with a grin, lifting a hand as she brushed several dark locks out of her eyes and behind her ears, the bangs not staying in their place for long and eventually finding their way back to cover her brown eyes. "But whenever you get the chance, I'd like to be standing there right next to you to see the look on his perfect little face," she added in. It would be a fantastic insight to her day. It truly would. But with Rabastan there beside her, that was the only thing that she needed for the moment.
