A grin slid onto Rabastan's face and he winked at her, raising the hand which had its elbow resting on the table, his index finger pointing at the ceiling as he made a small flick with in the direction of Bellatrix. "Got it," he confirmed, glancing around and spotting Lucius Malfoy entering the Hall. Speaking of the devil, indeed.
"So... I think the could get started with this shit already," muttered Rabastan. "They've got nice beds at Hogwarts and I feel like I could use one now," he added, gaze going to the Staff Table, then briefly passing over the Gryffindor table as he looked back at Bellatrix.

He wasn't too late, Evan was sure of that. It didn't look like he'd missed much so he tried to slide in un-noticed - quite hard when you're one of the only red-headed Slytherins and have to walk right across the room to get to your house table, but not impossible. True, it wasn't down as he always tied it back when travelling, but still rather luminous against the grey of the great-hall wall and flickering in the candle-light.
Sliding past the three tables of the opposing houses without much fuss Evan arrived at the green and silver clad table of the Slytherins and wandered down looking for an unoccupied seat.
He came to a halt near to where the LeStrange brothers and Bellatrix sat, and took a seat there, eager for the food to be served and for his warm bed in the dormitory. He never liked the first night back, despite the festivities. The journey tired him out and he found all he wanted upon arrival was to sleep.
Why couldn't they have the feast the next morning? Like a massive breakfast, when everyone had rested up?

"Sorry James. You're just not my type." Sirius answered, face dead set sirius for a moment. And then he forced himself to smile. It felt odd. Forcing a smile on his face like he had so many other times. He had to, because he was in love with the wrong person. His best friend.
Out of the corner of his eye, he saw Remus' failed attempt at magic and a concerned look crossed his face, smile completely fading. "You're okay, right Remus?" he asked, unable to stop his hand from resting on his friend's upper-arm to dictate that he wanted full attention and the truth.

"Oi, I'm every ones type," James grinned at his best mate, and looked at Remus as he attempted to perform the spell. He sighed and fixed his glasses himself before the werewolf could embarrasses himself. "Don't stress yourself Moony," he told his friend firmly before turning his attention to Peter who had jumped over the table to sit beside him. Though he decided not to explain to Wormtail why Remus hadn't been able to perform such a simple carnation.
"You’re not Lilys…I'm fine, and I won't," Remus pouted sulking down in his seat letting his wand slide back into his pocket in one swift movement. His arms found their way across his slender chest and he glanced towards the enormous oak doors patiently waiting for the 1st year students to arrive. Before he knew it they swung open and Professor McGonagall lead the small group of 11 year olds down the opening gap between the Gryffindors, Ravenclaws and the Hufflepuff, Slytherin. The chatting in the room had come to an abrupt stop as many eyes fell upon the scared boys and girls who were now stopped in front of Dumbledore.

Sirius sighed and moved his hand. Remus didn't need him. Not now. As hurtful as it felt, he turned away. Playing with the hem of his sleeve, he glanced across the Hall. Something to think about... And then the first years arrived. He remembered first year. Those were the days. Young. No real love problems. Nervously excited. Yes.
Xeno wasn't sure how he'd gotten separated from Laira, but it soon made no difference as he was ushered down the aisle and toward the front. He'd half spaced out, humming the crumple-horned snorknack song again. It was the only sound beside terrified whispers from the other first years. A pleasant yet slow tune. He stopped with the group, not really noticing the full Hall as he continued humming.

ooc || We had our first football game of the season tonight. Thankfully we made it through our half-time show before it started to rain. And then it poured. We lost seventeen to sixteen against our school's biggest rival. -groans- Stupid football players.
"A bed does sound pretty fantastic right now," Bellatrix agreed with a firm, omniscient nod of her head as she looked over at Rabastan, sighing softly as she thought about the comfortable matress waiting up in the dormitory for her. Oh, it would be so lovely - She needed a rest right now. But her thoughts were drug away from the tired, halfway sedated state that she was enduring during the time being as she looked back over at the youngest of the Lestrange brothers, grinning at him before opening her mouth to speak and then quickly closing it as a newcomer sat down nearby. "Have a good summer, Evan? Bellatrix asked, looking over at Evan Rosier and smiling at him. She couldn't ever not talk to a Slytherin. Unless it was Lucius Malfoy, of course.

Evan looked away from the Teachers Table, after the voice that had spoken to him and, seeing that it's owner was Bellatrix, replied cheerfully, "Yeah, it was alright! We went on holiday to Egypt, which was great, if bloody hot!" He grinned enthusiastically and put his elbows up on the table, shifting his dark robes from them slightly. "How about you?" He asked her, interested. He hadn't seen anyone apart from his family, and his parents friends for the last month or so, it was nice to be back in company. He wondered what everyone else did during the time they weren't at school.

Bellatrix could not help but to smile at hearing Evan Rosier's enthusiastic response, looking at him from where she sat across the table. "Egypt," she repeated, placing one of her elbows on the table and laying her head in her hand. "No fair. For the most part I stayed at home," she started, looking away from Evan and Rabastan and towards the direction in which the Head Boy was standing, a scowl coming over her face. "He was there a lot," she said bitterly, staring at Lucius Malfoy before dragging her glance away. "Seeing Narcissa, of course. It was sort of like he never left her side." She looked beside her at Rabastan and then back to Evan. "I can't stand him."

Evan chuckled slightly at Bellatrix's attitude toward Lucius. Eventually she must know she'd have to at least get on with the boy. Evan was glad he wasn't in the boy's place, when people got on the wrong side of Bellatrix Black they were possibly in the worst position they could possibly be. "Too bad Narcissa likes him then, eh." Evan said, "Doesn't look like that will be changing soon, either." Evan thought the pair suited each other, though this might just be due to his habit of thinking, whenever he was, of couples that should be together, of their matching hair-colours. Bellatrix obviously didn't have the same views on this matter, however.

"Too bad," Bellatrix repeated slowly, looking once more across the enormous Great Hall filled with the many students of all four Houses, her eyes finding her soon-to-be blonde-haired brother-in-law and staring at him for a moment or two longer. God, how she could not stand that arrogant, cocky Slytherin. But she knew very well that he couldn't stand her either. And maybe they wouldn't have to get along with each other - She hated him, he hated her. They were even and their viewings of each other weren't going to change any time soon. Grimacing she looked away and down at the table, removing her elbow from the surface as she looked at Rabastan, then Evan, and then at nothing in particular at all. "No, it won't. It wouldn't shock me if they ending up getting married," she laughed, although it was not jokingly.

ooc; I need to post more x.x;; sorry. tried to get some more interaction. go mee. xD
"Those two? Married?" Rabastan spoke up, joining Bella's laugh. He quickly put himself into the role he usually was with other Slytherins, chocolate eyes glancing at Rosier for a moment, then turning back to Bellatrix. There was a bit of a shuffling and movement as the straw-haired stood up and wandered over to where the three of them sat, sitting down opposite to them, half-unknowingly sitting beside Colleen, who still stared as some point distant on the wall, her delicate chin resting in her hand.
"Who's getting married now, eh?" said Bartemius, not really having to ask if he could join them. After all, Rosier was in his year and he knew him. To be honest, he was very glad someone he actually KNEW had showed up. "Malfoy and Narcissa," sblack personed Rabastan as a reply. "What good will that do?" commented Bartemius, then turning his gaze to Bellatrix, smiling. "I'm being rude, hello Bellatrix. You look as charming as always. And there's the person I was looking for. Had fun in Egypt, Rosier?"

Evan's eyes watched the new arrival, who he knew as Bartemius Crouch as he came to join them. "Hello Barty," He greeted the boy, hazel eyes fixed on him. "Oh it was very good! The pyramids were full of old muggles who'd tried to break in, and there was a room full of shrivelled up heads!" He replied, quite nonchalantly considering. "Very interesting too." He smiled, hardly stopping himself from spurting facts about the Ancient Egyptian wizards which he knew would just annoy his friends. "How about you? Have a good holiday?" He asked, knowing he was treading on egg-shells and wondering if Bartemius had seen very much of his father in the holidays, what with him working at the Ministry and all.
