Remus finally couldn't stand anymore of it and walked over, though instead of holding back James he merely stood between their group and Bellatrix and Rabastan.
"Bloody Hell! Will you all drop it!?" He asked folding his arms across his chest as he looked at James, Sirius, and Lily. Then he gave a quick glance at the Slytherins in front of him. "It's not like you can use magic either might I remind you?"
"I'll use magic anyway NOW MOVE REMUS!" James shouted, "and bloody let go of me!" He ordered Sirius and Lily. Though all Moony had done was give a quick glance at James before turning his attention back to the others.
"As I was saying, we don't go around calling you filthy slytherin children death eaters, who don't even amount to the scum on the bottom of our pets feet...so don't you go around throwing out names." He told them, though his voice had died halfway and made it sound as if he had been ashamed to say that.

Lily heard what both Rabastan and Bellatrix, narrowing her green eyes but said nothing. Mudblood they had called her. She had heard it for most of the past six years from Slytherins however, she had never gotten used to it. Her face had stayed plain, showing no emotion however, her eyes grew sad though did not tear up...yet. She turned back to James who had just been yelling.
"James...please. Don't" she told him, looking at him begging him not to do harm to anyone, especially himself. She took hold of his wrist again, "Don't.." Lily looked him straight into his hazel eyes, hoping she could find something to stop him.

Maddie followed Lily. There was a lot of shouting, was all she knew. "What's..?" she asked, but answered it for herself. Her eyebrows furrowed and she stepped out of the door, earning a light merry jingle after her. Maddie joined Lily's side, looking have confused and half concerned. There was that word again. Mudblood.

Rabastan listened. He listened to Lupin, actually smiling in a rather curious way. It was a smile which was supposed to seem a bit friendly as he nodded with faked politeness, as if he agreed to what Lupin said. A final smile told everyone he’d say ‘oh I’m sorry, you’re completely right’. At least, you’d expect that not knowing Rabastan.
“You done? Good,” he stated, combing his black and messy fringe back with his fingers, only for it to fall back into his eyes as he stepped to face Remus, his face not far from the other’s. Chocolate eyes were ice cold as they looked down, indeed slightly downwards, at Lupin, and even though chocolate is a rather warm colour, there was nothing warm about his eyes. It was well practiced, everything he did. He didn’t want to mess up in front of Bellatrix, after all.
“First,” he said as a few sleeks of black fell down into his vision. “We won’t drop it. As long as you people stand there shouting at Bellatrix, I won’t drop it. And it’s a disgrace-“ he over-pronounced the word as if to make sure that every letter was imprinted into Lupin’s brain, “- for all wizards that you hang around with some Mudblood like Evans. Even though you’re only half-blood… there isn’t much you can do about it, is there? Pity.”
Not pausing to wait for an answer, Rabastan let a cheeky and truly sinister smirk curve his lips as more sleeks of his messy fringe fell down over his forehead again. The expression stayed on for a second and then he pushed Lupin. At least did an excellent attempt to push Lupin at Potter, and since he stood rather close to Lupin, it would be a hard thing to dodge. "Second!" he barked. "Why don't you use some magic, Potter! I'd like to see you try!"
Nearly by mistake, his gaze fell on the window of the bookstore, having to narrow them slightly to see who was inside. He was more interested in the other male person who turned out to be the last missing Marauder. After all, Snape was rather unique, there was no trouble to recognise him. He absently caught a glimpse of Miss Redwine entering the scene too, though he actually didn’t know her name. He looked back at Bellatrix, tilting his head slightly toward the window, smirking thinly as he wanted her to notice the same as he did. A Marauder and Snape in the same shop not fighting.
Even if Rabastan didn’t actually believe that all the Marauders picked fights as much as Black and Potter, he still was childish enough to go inside and find out… after dealing with this little scene outside. He turned back to watch the result of his push, his hand edging down his back towards his wand.
ooc; this got rather long. o.o

Sirius rushed forward to catch Remus, not wanting him to run into everyone else. Of course he wasn't sure he'd steadied his friend before he was angrily going toward Rabastan, hands clenched into fists. "Don't. Even. Attempt. To hurt. My. Friends." he growled, and without warning threw a punch. If he couldn't use magic, street fighting was the next best thing.
Ooc: Mys post looked terribly short. So I'm adding an out of chat to make it look better. xD

A petite girl of seventeen walked peacefully on the side of the cheery mass of witches and wizards alike, holding a few shopping bags that consisted of her needed school things. She had departed from her mother, in hopes of her getting to the ice cream place, called er..something or rather, and get a little bit more merry. The girl stopped. She heard raised voices, and the mentioning of /that/ word. Mudblood. She cringed at the word, but kept her cool nonetheless, continuing her walk undistracted for the most part. And /that's/ when she heard the name Evans. She stopped and closed her eyes. Could it be? She didn't know of any other Evans' that were muggleborn. Her eyes snapped open and she looked across the street, and not only was there Lily, but there was a lot of other people too, not looking very happy. She crossed the street (Having to avoid colliding with a group of gossiping witches along the way.) and approached the scene, in confusion. Her eyes darted from each person. 'Well, Alice, we have another problem, don't we?'

Being pushed down suddenly had caught Remus completely off guard, and being caught by Sirius had also surprised him. Standing there his eyes widen as he watched his friend attempt to attack Rabastan. Reaching his arms around towards the other in a poor attempt to stop Sirius, though it clearly hadn't worked. By pure luck though he had grabbed a hold of James who broke away from Lily.
"SIRIUS JAMES STOP!" He shouted, as he felt James break free from his grip as well. He had dashed towards the Sirius and Rabastan throwing his own punches at the male. How dare he call Lily a Mudblood, and then have the nerve to push Remus?!
"You're gonna wish you'd never been born!" He shouted and Remus just stood back for a second trying to figure out what he should do.

"Stop!" Lily said, now screaming at them both. "You're just making it worse." she said, pulling James back with the help of Remus. "Don't worry about the Mudblood comments," she said quietly in James' ear, "I'm used to it." And she was used to it; but she still didn't like it. Why should she be different? She was surely better than the two Slytherins at school. It effected her to be called that but she said nothing more.

ooc || Sorry that it took me so long to reply. School started today. Ehk. And now I'm having horrible computer withdrawels.
bic || The Slytherin girl had stood firmly in her place, looking around as the intriguing and curious scene seemed to unravel and unfold before her very eyes, Bellatrix Black only having to stand in her place as a hand trailed down to the pocket of her robes and she wrapped her spindle-like fingers around the walnut wand. Even though she had been thrown for a loop by the appearance of the Marauders and others, especially Rabastan, and despite the fact that she was now stressed that a fight would break out, Bellatrix looked too naturally calmed. Her white face had completely lost all sense of emotions, a blank stare now gracing her features as she pushed several dark black curls behind her ears and out of her fiercely darkened eyes.
She timidly followed Rabastan Lestrange's gaze towards the window of the bookstore, peering inside as she indeed noticed what he had obviously wanted her to see, smiling half-heartedly as she looked back towards the Gryffindors and opened her mouth to say something but was cut off as Rabastan had stepped forward and pushed Remus, resulting in him backing into James, and then Potter and Sirius Black rushing forward and throwing a punch at the Slytherin student. Bellatrix had jumped out of the way at first, gaping with wide-eyes as the fight had come so quickly. But soon enough she had let her grip around her wand loosen and found herself in the fight as well, pushing and shoving, occassionally throwing a punch or two, muttering profanity under her breath hissingly. Having been brought up with Narcissa and Andromeda as siblings, Bellatrix had learned to fend for herself.
And she wasn't the type of person in the slightest to try and negotiate and stop the fight. In fact, she was rather enjoying it.

Rabastan handn't expected that. The first punch came from Black, and it did surprise him, making him stagger back, holding his cheek. Well, giving some credit to Black, he was at least of the right blood and a family filled with something else than pussies.
Soon, the Slytherin found that he was attacked by Potter too, and backed a few steps, covering his face a bit lazily with his arm, trying to get Potter off him until Evans pulled Potter back. Rubbing his cheek, her looked up, eyes dangerous behind sleaks of black hair. Without hesitation, he pulled out his wand, pointing it at Sirius Black, shaking with rage. "Come on, Black. Dare me!" he growled. "COME ON! DARE ME, I SWEAR I'LL KILL YOU!"
His sudden shout seemed to turn some heads on the street, this time more heads of those who were on that side. Potter's barking mainly made anyone to look over. For some reason, no one seemed too keen to stop the fight, or perhaps they didn't want to be involved.
Rabastan pushed Sirius Black mockingly with his free hand, keeping the tip of his wand pointing towards the blood-traitor, his thoughts running back and forth if to curse him or not. The question was was he worth it? A light hint of sweat lingered on his forehead as he slowly let the wand drop, glancing to the side at Bellatrix before looking straight into Sirius' eyes again.
"Just wait," he growled, pointing the wand meaningly at Sirius again. "You'll pay for this." Without warning, the tempered male aimed a kick to Potter; well, with people holding him back it could be hard to protect his more holy parts, which was where Rabastan aimed his kick. He just knew it'd hurt an awful lot if it did.
Indifferent about if the kick hit or not, he spat on the ground in front of Evans and Potter, looking up at Evans, his chocolate eyes looking into her green. "I think," he purred dangerously, and no one around could say it didn't sound like a threat, "I'll see you around at Hogwarts... Watch out for those lonely corridors... A's and O's in exams won't save you there."
Wanting to avoid the possible revenge attempt that could come from anyone on the scene except Bellatrix, he passed right through the little group of Marauders, throwing a glance towards Alice Faye. His eyes then went to the bookstore door as he pushed it open, sticking his wand into his back pocket. "Snape, what a surprise!" he said loudly, looking over towards Snape, his gaze passing to Pettigrew for a moment and then back to Snape in a way that seemed to ask 'what the fuck?'
Rabastan continued towards the man behind the counter, noticing he still breathed a bit quicker than usual as he threw a glance over his shoulder to make sure the blood-traitors didn't hurt Bellatrix.

Sirius was stunned into silence. His cold gray eyes slit to a glare. It was too long a silence, however, for when he relied Rabastan was already gone. "Don't threaten my friends, freak." he mumbled, as he'd realized what had happened when he'd lost focus. He spun of his heal, remembering very slightly that James had been kicked. "You okay, Prongs?" he asked, breathing rather heavily. What was it about the git that had him so worked up? He didn't remember his cousin was still outside. That she was in a foul mood and not likely to let this slip by unnoticed. He shook his head slightly, clearing himself of the haze. "And Moony? Miss Evans? Anyone else that happened to jump in?" he added, trying to spin his words into a slight joke that didn't quite work right now. He couldn't bring himself to grin, or even spin that much of a lightened tone with his words.

Alice cringed. "Are you all...okay?" she asked. If she had gotten there earlier she would've hexed that Rabastan into oblivion. But unfortunately her mother had dumped all of their shopping things with her. She walked even more towards them, hand pocketed and other hand full of colorful bags. Her eyes flickered to each and one of them, and that's when she remembered she was going to get ice cream. 'That can wait..' she thought.

James cringed as he felt himself being kicked right in the balls.
"Ugh," had been the only sound that James made, while he pulled out of Lily's grip and held his hands over his privates his eyes closed tightly and his face as red as a beet. Remus looked at James worryingly, and once Sirius had addressed him he nodded his head.
"Sirius there was no need to start a physical fight." He sighed dropping his head.

Lily gave Rabastan a disgusting look. She wasn't exactly afraid of his threats; she could jinx him in a second. But would he actually go through with it? And what if it did happen and the Marauders found out? Would this happen again? She stopped thinking about it for what she had just witnessed was bad enough and it wasn't worth thinking about the future just yet. Feeling James' wrist slip from her grip, she looked at him sympathetically.
"You alright?" she asked him quietly, raising an eyebrow. "Don't worry about me, I'm fine." Lily said to Sirius, and wanted to agree with what Remus had just said but decided not to. There was no need for anger right now. Noticing Alice, she gave a small smile yet her face still reflected her now saddened mood.
