"I-I'm sorry Remus..." Sirius finally mumbled, eyes downcast as he gave up trying to lighten the mood. He'd messed up. In front of Remus. James and everyone else had had to pay because he couldn't deny the feelings he had for Remus. He hadn't been able to take it any longer when Remus had been the one attacked. Himself? They sounded like such empty threats when attached to himself. But with the boy he had fallen for. It confused him. Alot. "Erm, take care, mate..." he mumbled to James before starting off in the direction of the place they had planned to eat. "I'll see you guys at the Leaky Cauldron." he was tearing himself up about this. He'd caused it all, at least he'd convinced himself he had. Bella was even his cousin. There had to be another check to the 'how I caused this' list.

Bellatrix had stood at Rabastan's side firmly, looking at all of the blood-traitors and mudbloods that were present in complete and utter disgust. She looked humiliated and cast around a cautious glance, shaking her head while she did so at the mere thoughts of having been engaged in a fight that broke out in Diagon Alley. What would her parents think? What would Cissy and Andromeda think? But quite frankly she didn't care - Any single person that hung around and associated with another that was not pure in blood was lousy and deserved to have some sense beaten into them. Well, that was her perspective on the entire topic anyways.
Her cheeks had turned a slight pink in color, as if she had applied makeup since the time that she had jumped into the havoc and chaos of the clash with the Slytherins and Gryffindors, although it was not makeup that had made her complexion look so frustrated and heated. Her breathing was not all that steady but better than probably anyone else that had thrown a couple of punches or so, her chest heaving ever so slightly and lowering almost invisibly. She didn't bother to lift a hand and brush her curls out of her face, but merely shook her head and her bangs were pushed out of her line of sight. With a final sneer at the Gryffindors she turned on her heel, not having noticed Rabastan's disappearance until she peered into the window of the bookstore, looking at the Lestrange boy before she shot another nasty glare at the group of Marauders and other Gryffindors that had gathered, turning away from them as she opened the door and stepped inside, walking casually over towards Rabastan and - surprisingly - Severus Snape and the missing quarter that made up the Marauders, a smaller boy that went by the name of Peter Pettigrew.
"Ah, Severus," she began, stepping up so that she was standing directly beside Rabastan, her shoulder brushing with his slightly as she placed her hand on her hip and shifted her weight to her left foot. "Didn't expect to see you here. And in such company," she added in chimingly, looking over at Pettigrew although her stare wasn't as harsh.

Maddie, standing frozen, watched as the two left the scene. She felt an odd weight in her hands, and looked down. Oh! She had almost forgotten the book in her hands. She somehow found her voice. She cleared it softly, looking at Lily. "Thank you again." she murmured, and walked off to.. WHO KNOWS where.

Remus looked over as Sirius had started to walk and sighed dropping his head. He hadn't meant to blame the male for what had happen. If anything it was Bellatrix's fought for calling Lily a Mudblood, and his friend had only been defending him against Lestrange. The one who had been violent towards them first. Feeling Ashamed about what he said to his best mate he chased after him walking along side him now and offered a shy smile.
"So what are you ordering Pads? Hey Lily! Maddie! Alice are you coming" He attempted to start a normal conversation, and invite their friends. James meanwhile had looked over at Lily, Alice, Maddie, and at Peter. Like hell he was going to leave his friend in the Bookstore surrounded by Slytherins that they had gotten in a fight with. Rushing into the store with out another work he stood across from the Slytherins and was now beside Wormtail.
"Oi, Peter we're leaving," he said simply and pulled out a poach full of Gallons and placed them on the counter of the bookstore. The tall thin witch behind the counter looked at him confused for a moment but took the money. "That should cover his and my other friends school books, and the cost to deliver them to the Potter residence." James told her and she nodded her head already busy counting the money that had been placed in front of her. He looked back down at Peter his arms now folded across his chest; completely ignoring the fact that Snape, Bellatrix, and Lestrange had been standing across from them.

"Remus..." Sirius mumbled. He had left to get away. Not be followed. Especially by Remus. His emotions collided as he walked next to his friend. What else could he say?
"I don't know yet... You?" he asked, hoping he sounded at least polite. It wouldn't do to say something stupid now.
Ooc: Yay shortness! I can't seem to type nice long replies.

Alice looked up as her name was announced. But instead of looking at the speaker, her eyes followed James in vigilance. She stared back at everyone else. "I see trouble brewing," she said cheerfully, looking rather amused.

Severus stood stock-still inside the bookstore, staring out the rather small window and watching the fight that ensued outside. As Lily leaned forward and pulled James away from the fight, quietly whispering in his ear, a sudden feeling of anger and jealousy pulsed through his veins. He didn't like Potter being that close to Evans. And whatever she had whispered... well, he was sure it was nothing besides a desperate attempt to get him to stop, but nevertheless, Severus could not shake the feeling that perhaps she had whispered something that would be of good reason for the jealousy that now coursed through him.
He could only hear the shouting that occured, and even that was rather muffled. He could hear Rabastan taunting Sirius; at this, delight and pleasure filled Severus. He had riled up Sirius, something that was certainly noteworthy. Severus was almost tempted to applaud as Rabastan aimed a kick at James, hitting him squarely in the private area. He relished the few moments that he stood there watching as James doubled over in pain. What a fulfilling sight to see.
Rabastan quickly strolled into the shop, the bells tinkling menacingly as he entered. His loud outburst directed at Severus made him jump. He realized the rather questioning look upon Rabastan's face and he realized that he was still standing beside Pettigrew. Bellatrix waltzed in, and she voiced the expression upon Rabastan's face. He quickly regained his composure and merely shrugged in reply as he and joined Rabastan at the counter.
"Nice kick," he commented, a delighted smirk evident upon his pale features.

Rabastan was delighted to see the Bellatrix followed him, his eyes turning away from her for a moment only to glance at Severus as he came over. Rabastan dug in the pack pocket of his trousers, pushing the list of books he needed across the counter. The shopkeeper took it without too many words, starting to search the books for him.
As Bellatrix stopped beside him, he felt a weird, warm and cold feeling inside somewhere, and he really couldn't explain it. He felt something warm on his cheeks as her shoulder touched his, and honestly, he was glad Snape spoke. "Erm," he said, sounding rather clever as he quickly rubbed his cheek to get the blush away before his chocolate eyes fixed on Snape. "Thank you," he said, bowing slightly, grinning as he stood straight again, combing his ever-messy, black fringe back, then letting his hand drop. Rabastan found that his gaze dropped to Bellatrix's hand, which rested on her hip and...
Oh for fucks sake.
He looked up at Snape again, some sleeks of black falling into his vision again. "If they wanna go Muggle tricks, I sure can play them too," he shrugged carelessly, taking his wand and flicking it into the air where is swirled around a few turns before he caught it and put if back into his back pocket. "Not like the fight would've been as fun without Bella here," he added, sliding his arm around her shoulder for a moment before letting it drop, looking at Snape and then the bookstore shop keeper, not daring to look at Bellatrix that particular moment... and he still did, smiling slightly. Then he looked a Snape again. "You know the curses the best, though."
Rabastan felt good with other Slytherins. He felt like he belonged there.

ooc || Same here. School's been a nightmare over the last couple of days.
A small smile crossed over her face as Bellatrix glanced up at Severus Snape, the Slytherin alchemy prodigy being decently taller than she was, and definitely more lanky-looking than the Black girl had ever been in her life, despite the fact that she had naturally been one of the shorter children of Cygnus and Druella Black, something that hardly bothered her at all nowadays.
"Yes, that was a pretty splendid aim, Rabastan," she said, smiling as she looked over at Lestrange and gave him a quick grin. Bellatrix had always been kind to Rabastan, seeing as how it was rumored that his older brother fancied her and they had gone out once or twice before. Rabastan had always been a good friend to her, looking out for her as much or possibly more than Rodolphus did, henceforth the reason that she was so fond of him. Then again, most Slytherins were on good terms with one another, for their simple thoughts - take the topic of tainted blood, for example - were more or less the same and they always had similar opinions.
Bella looked down towards her feet, noticing the Siamese cat that had come into the shop at her heels, the girl bending down and scooping the feline into her arms, cradling it as she looked back from Rabastan to Severus Snape and then over in Peter Pettigrew's direction, not opening her mouth but staring at him visciously.

ooc || Dagnabit. Late post. Sorry about that.
Bellatrix smiled mischeviously as she had heard Rabastan speak, looking over at him as she watched the Lestrange boy pull his wand from his pocket and play with it carelessly before stashing it away again, Bella grinning cutely as she shook her head and continued to pet the cat being held in her arms, Orion purring quietly, almost even inaudibly, as he was being held unmovingly in his owner's arms.
"But of course you made it much more interesting," she said with a tilt of her head to the side, looking at Rabastan and shrugging her shoulders slightly. "I would've never started a fist fight. But I have to admit - That was pretty awesome."
She always felt safe around Rabastan, the type of feeling that you get when you know a person so well that they could possibly even be considered a part of your family. And Bellatrix definitely felt this way about Rabastan, as she did Rodolphus. But maybe it was possibly something more.

"Yeah...coming Sirius." Lily said to him, then looked back in the shop. Severus was smiling at both Bellatrix and Rabastan as if he was amused at what they had done. She was utterly disgusted. Feeling like he was two-faced was not the way Lily wanted their friendship to go. He was hanging out with future death eaters for crying out loud and everyone knew it. She shook her head, her sad eyes leaving Severus and walking along with Alice to the Leaky Cauldron.
But the word still stumbled back into her head with every pace she took...Mudblood. It was never something she had gotten used to yet she was done crying over it. There was nothing she could do about it except for be just as proud to be muggle-born and still be able to the same magic (and more) as everyone else.

Remus looked at Sirius and smiled nodding his head in agreement,
"Um hm," he sounded before realizing that he had forgotten his trunk. "Oh no my trunk!" He squeaked and turned around to find that James had exited the book store finally and was dragging the males trunk behind.
"Forget something Moony?" He asked curiously. Sighing Remus had taken it from his best mate and said thank you to him before heading back up to Sirius' side James joining them, but had been standing on the other side of his friend. "Oi, I swear those Slytherin are going to get it when we get back to school..."
"Don't say stuff like that," Remus sighed though James only grinned and continued ranting about how he was planning on teaching those scum Slytherin a lesson about messing with his 'future wife' and best mates.

Rabastan chuckled, looking to the side at Bellatrix with a smile. The smile felt oddly soft to him, but nevertheless comfortable. His gaze shifted to the cat in her arms, then to her face again. "I didn't think they'd start a fight at all," he admitted, glancing over at the shopkeeper as she climbed around to find some book. "And I'm going to get a bruise, and it won't be pretty," he added, placing his hand on his cheek briefly, noticing it was still thobbing faintly. "Damn Black."
He took a deep breath and let it escape him in a sigh, looking nearly apathetic for a moment. He looked from Snape to Bellatrix, his gaze then dropping to the wooden counter.
Rabastan enjoyed the moment. When school started, Rodolphus would try to get to Bellatrix again, and even if no one could tell Rabastan what to do, Rodolphus really could, and he was probably going to give Rabastan a few more bruises if he would start protesting. On the other hand, it didn't matter to Rabastan; he just felt he'd feel empty if Bellatrix would start going out with Rodolphus when he himself and Bella were so good... friends?
Yeah. Friends and nothing more. Rodolphus had probably spent the last month at school before the holidays trying to hit on her. Rabastan had just been a friend. Just a friend and nothing more. A friend, whose shoulder she could consider letting her shoulder touch. And he could sure smile at that cute grin she had.
He was getting pathetic by now. Rabastan shook his head slightly, spitting something very Slytherin out, just to keep the image. "Hurry up, would you?" he commented loudly, looking over at the shopkeeper. "My house-elf shits faster," he added in a silent mutter only Severus and Bellatrix would hear.

"He's my cousin - I hate him even more than you do," Bellatrix muttered under her breath, but audible enough for everyone around her to hear. Bella wasn't the type of person that cared at all about what others said about her, therefore she didn't mind if she said something about someone else and it got back to them. That was just her personality, and it always had been.
Bellatrix laughed shrilly at hearing Rabastan's comment, straightening up a moment or two later as she smiled at what the Lestrange boy had said, looking over at him and then towards the shopkeeper that was retrieving his school books. "The Dark Lord could probably be summoned faster than she's moving," Bellatrix said quietly, speaking in a whisper so that they could not be overheard. Now this was something that she cared an awful lot about - Being heard while speaking of Voldemort. It was true that she supported the Dark Arts, but if word got out that her lifetime goal was to become one of his most devoted followers, her reputation would be ruined.

"Why don't we just leave my bitch of a cousin alone?" Sirius asked, stopping to open the Leaky Cauldron's door for everyone. He couldn't keep himself in a good enough mood to agree and plot with James. It had all been his fault. Sirius Black's. And Remus, though he was being nice, was probably annoyed with him. He sighed, running his free hand though his hair. Maybe his earlier attempts to show Remus how he felt earlier had all been in vain. The werewolf wouldn't love him. Ever. Not like he loved him.
